CNO: Events Posting Requirement
To add an event to the Choctaw Nation website, the following information is needed when a work order is requested. This can be found under the “Project Details” section.
Required Fields (all fields are public-facing)
- Event Title
- Event Brief Description – a brief description a sentence or two in length (please do not repeat event title, event date(s), event times, or event location in this description).
- Hero Image –
1296x729px/72ppiimage or graphic that does not include any overlay text. - Event Category(ies) – please include at least one of the following categories:
- career fairs
- community centers
- community cultural meetings
- cultural
- education
- health
- language classes
- PACE program
- princess pageants
- talent search
- tribal holidays
- veterans
- wellness centers
- youth camps
- Event Description – a longer description to provide more details about an event, such as how to register or additional information. (please do not include event title, event date(s), event times, or event location within this description).
- Event Date(s) – a start date is required; if it’s a multiple day event please include an end date.
- Event Time(s) – a start time is required; if it’s a multiple day event an end time is required
- Event Location – a location is required, virtual is also an option; if an event takes place at multiple locations these will need to be separate events for web use. Please include a physical address for driving directions link.
Optional Fields
- Contact Information – phone number(s) can be added, such as an event coordinator’s phone number
- Contact Form – if an email address is provided, it will be used to add a contact form to the event page
- External Contact Link(s) – a URL, such as an external website or registration form
- Related Media – this can include files, such as applications, or links to internal or external webpages
